If you have even a handful of Pakistanis on your Facebook or Twitter lists, you will have noticed that the country and much of its diaspora has been gripped by election fever of late. Certainly many Pakistanis in the UK have been left gnashing their teeth at the failure of a much-promised voting system for overseas Pakistanis to materialise. Whatever your politics, or view of the goings-on in a most dramatic (and sadly often violent) election lead-up, it has to be said that it is amazing to see a nation so often betrayed by its political system, so enthused by the chance to make their voice heard, and play a role in potentially changing the course of their country.
Vote Pakistan. Stay safe. May tomorrow indeed be a new day.
